There are so many social issues in Ghana. They should have been addressed by the government a long time ago. In fact, it is a crisis. One of these social issues is the housing crisis in Accra.
Housing
"Housing in Accra is something of a paradox: a boom in supply for the wealthy, and scarcity for those at the lower ends of the income strata. According to the Ghana Housing Profile, 60% of all urban households in Ghana occupy single rooms. Only 25% of households own a house. The remainder either rent or live rent-free in a family house. Urban housing is also regarded as very expensive. Because of a lack of affordable, decent and secure shelter for the low-income population it’s generally accepted that there’s a housing crisis in the Ghanaian capital. Accommodation
I call it a crisis because the majority of citizens of Ghana cannot afford decent housing. Considering that Ghana is a very big country with a very vast land. The people of Ghana deserve decent and affordable housing.
